  The NUP Chooses Their Flag bearer For The 2021 GIJ Political Communication Elections     The National Union Party (NUP) on March 6, 2021 has elected Miss Charity Kesewaa Frimpong as their Flag Bearer to run for the presidency of the 2021 GIJ political communication elections. The NUPs' electoral commission(sub group B) officially announced Miss Charity Frimpong as the Flag bearer for the party after a successful vetting by the vetting committee. She was the only candidate to appear before the 7 member committee for vetting as she was the only candidate that followed the official instructions of the party's electoral commission. THE MARKET CAMPAIGN The National Union Party - NUP led by its running mate for the 2021 elections, Daniel Ofosu Obeng, has taken their campaign to the market women at Osu night market, stressing the need to vote for the party. Running mate with a trader As part of the party's strategy to spread its message to the good people of Ghana, saw the need to engage the market women, educating them on its "Dwadini Adanfo" policy which is geared towards the successes of the market women. NUP  CAMPAIGN EVENTS Political campaigning is a means by which a political party sells its ideologies and vision to electorates. It is determined prior to electorates making the biggest decision as to which of the parties to vote for or to be given power to govern over a certain period, determined by the constitution in every democratic regime.  The National Union Party (NUP), after a successful outdooring of its presidential candidate and running mate, signaled a moment of full scale campaign. As a group, we believe that, campaign has now become candidate centered. The focus is more on selling the qualities, credibility and track record of the individual. This was an institutional condition which was met by the vetting committee of the party.   As a group we helped the party to capitalize on endorsements from renowned personalities in society. Story by Daniel Sowah BACS22299 PARTY FAITHFULS FEELING POSITIVE AS THEY RALLY BEHIND THEIR CANDIDATE  Members of the National Union Party (NUP) have indicated that, the party is on the right track in achieving its main objectives.  According to some parties faithfuls who rallied behind their presidential candidate, Miss Charity Kessewaa Frimpong during their health walk on Friday, the party has put in place mechanisms which they believe have pushed the party on the right track to achieve its objectives.  “We believe in our candidate and we believe our efforts and sacrifice has brought us this far. We are edging closer to our goal as a party and we believe we are on the right path”.   VETTING AND SELECTION OF CANDIDATE                                                Leaders of the vetting committee Group B as a sub group was tasked with the responsibility to select a competent candidate for our political party (Group5). The group set up a 7 member committee which developed a criteria to handle the selecting of a competent, courageous, decisive, zealous and a positive candidate.  Knowing the essence of democracy and working in accordance with this system of governance, the vetting committee issued a communique informing all members within the party that persons who are interested and believe they have the required qualities to run for the presidency should own up with their names, pictures and CV to be vetted. There were some verbal nominations within the class group but the committee only worked with those who adhered to the instructions of the vetting committee. Out of the many, one person boldly showed genuine interest and thus followed up with her credentials. O

  Political propaganda has so many angles in convincing the citizens. The most common ways are through visuals or arts like; animations, painting, music, colors, emblems, and many others.  Political parties’ first most important symbol for projecting the ideology and a sign of recognition is through it's colors and emblems. Visuals are the most effective tool for communicating a political message especially when communicating to a group of people that are illiterate or may find difficulties in comprehending the listed goals or policies of a party. Communication becomes easier when the colors produce different interest on their eyes as a result of the reflection and being able to relate to them.
